Because sqlmap is written in python language, we must install the python environment before using sqlmap.

python download address:Download Python | Python.org

Choose the version that suits your operating system

After successful download, double-click the exe file to install automatically.

After clicking Install, the installation progress bar will appear.

After the installation is completed, the following interface will appear, indicating that your installation is successful.

win+r Enter cmd and press Enter to open the command line interface

Enter python -V on the command line interface to check whether the environment variables are successfully installed. If Python 3.10.2 and other words are displayed, it means the python environment is successfully installed.

After the python environment is successfully installed, download the sqlmap tool. The sqlmap download address is:sqlmap: automatic SQL injection and database takeover tool

After the download is complete, decompress it. After decompression is complete, open the file and enter cmd at the file location to open the command line window.

Enter python sqlmap.py -h in the command line window. If the output is as shown in the figure below, it means that the command python environment and sqlmap tool have been configured.

In this way, it is too troublesome to open the command window by going to the current path of the file every time you use sqlmap. We can create a sqlmap shortcut on the computer desktop to facilitate our use. The creation steps are as follows:

1. Right-click on an empty space on the desktop-“New-“Shortcut

2. Enter C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe at the object location.

3. Click the next page and give the shortcut a name. For easy identification, we name it sqlmap.

4. Click Finish and a shortcut named sqlmap will be generated on the left. Right-click the express method icon and click Properties.

5. Enter the absolute path of our sqlmap file at the starting position. (Note: The absolute path refers to the full path to the location of the file. Find the file and click Properties to view)

6. Click Confirm to complete the creation of the sqlmap shortcut. When using sqlmap, double-click the sqlmap shortcut to open the command line window.
